Effective November 1, 2026
Ballast collects no data. There is no Ballast account, no Ballast server, no analytics and no advertising. What you enter stays on your device, and Ballast connects only to the servers you add.
Deleting the app deletes all of this. If you use Settings › Export, you choose where that file goes; it never contains passwords or keys.
Ballast connects over SSH to the servers you add, and nowhere else, to run read-only commands that list snapshots and read logs. Those servers are yours; what they log is up to you and their configuration.
Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Ballast does not use push notifications and has no server to send them from.
The free trial and the unlock are handled by Apple through the App Store. Ballast only learns whether you have them; it never sees your payment details. Apple's privacy policy covers those purchases.
Ballast is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
